Anointments of Progression

On the verge of sleep, the world is waking
As time illuminated, keeps on passing,
Travelling through waves of longing
Hopes and fears forever thronging,
Among repeated languages of learning
Navigated thoughts, rhetorics of belonging..
.
Between homelands and borders
Over barricades halting progress
In mesmerizing moments of abidingness,
Our worn out feet moving onwards,
From early morn till late at night
Seeking better ways to break the rules.

Sending love songs to universe
From affliction simple  honesty
To melt  away all  borders of hate
Taming the storms keep on releasing
I refuse to be silent, often belligerent
Spirit free, dancing  refuses to be broken.

And when solace accidentally slips on by
Some will surge among drunken woeful cry,
Those who escape, get a chance for another look
Turn the page, open a brand new book,
To dream and dare, among ubiquitous shoots
As a new season arrives, sprouts new routes.

Drifting in imperceptible process of change
Filling pockets with formulas to rearrange,
Paths unknown, awareness in transition
Creating beautiful new traditions,
In places stored deep from hearts
Listening, touching, wanting, living.

Days of  possibilities begin,
With a galore of surprises,
Finding answers beyond  turbulence
The unquiet waves rearrange,
Offer different perspective
The gleam  of calming sunsets.

A glance outside.

Do you have trouble sleeping?
Are you a dissafected prole?
Do you carry on dreaming
Find some routes that do not keep you afraid?
Is your mind on fire, with unspoken thought?
On gentle breezes, can you find fantastical feeling?
Does your mind drift across oceans, react to understanding?
Do you watch silently, glancing now and then?
Can you hear the thundering noise of change in distance?
Can you make a difference, sustain your brothers and sisters?
Are you engrossed in a world of your own?
Living day by day, running free on wild emotion?
Away from the depths  of solitude's thought,
Rising aloft in the sun's rays, are you caught?
Follow transient patterns, for the mind to beseech?
Find dimensions of meaning, in birth, life and death?
Listen to the crackling of breaking twigs
Birds nesting on branches of liqoirice,
Can you hear them, can you see them?
Open your eyes and gaze at our beautiful world
Carry hope, to live, to open eyes?
Think about others struggling to survive
Through poverty sickness and destruction?
If you answered yes, at least you are alive
Remember there are many like us,
Together we are not alone
Each one of us an island,
Engulfed by individual feeling
Until we blaze like meteors in the deep blue sky.

Yesterday was hell, still searching for heaven

Yesterday I searched for something
some hope I guess, but could not find it,
what  else was  bloody needed
so I begged ,prayed and pleaded,
mind in array, how could I actually tell
no answers came all seemed like hell,
as politicians pillaged and clouds turned dark
left their truly horrible inedible mark,
I searched for solutions ever so far away
but lacked religion a God that could rearrange,
found some power on the streets instead
friends like me still hungry for change,
fighting, struggling for an end to this mess
releasing  thoughts of another world instead,
as this planet whirled on the path of destruction
searching for that elusive place called heaven,
a place where we could all find salvation
a kinder place that can't be broken or stolen.

Looking for answers

I've been listing my A to Zeds
from Alpha to Zion,
sometimes it all adds up
life gets better, start understanding,
but often things will arrive that confuse
as I try to remember to resurge, rejoice,.
the sound of  blues arrives in my head
I escape the chorus, and return to bed,
darkness envelopes, the sky gets a little lost
makes the near seem so very far away,
still seek familiar faces, swimming with light
resist a world full of cruel injustice,
remember all those still struggling
as world spins, political corruption exposed,
somehow some hope floods within
answers seeking, keep on arriving.
