The Shock Doctrine Naomi Klein and Alfonso Cuaron

A short and impressive film drawing on Naoni Klein's book 'The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism.
Directed by  Alfonso Cuaron, director of 'Children of Men'.
Capitalism, it sure does not look as if it's working to me.

 One World, one Revolution

  1. Trouble is, there's nothing to hold up as being a viable and successful alternative, is there? Yet?

    Got any ideas?

  2. mmmm. sorry just got up. Anything really, obviously their are may viable alternatives, which many people are clearly demanding for as we speak. I won't go into depth but surely you are aware of socialist and anarchist ideas. Many alternatives found here, I guess some have not been tested.
The collectivism of the means of production, perhaps, an economic system based on everybodies participation, one based on morals instead of greed..... putting the needs of everybody on an egual basis, less consumption..... the whole thought process of us the people being rearranged, it might take a while, but is very urgent, remoove this idea that we have that sems to ss life as a journey that is consumred by the need for profit. Oh I do go on, Marx, Kropotkin and Chomsky are people whose grasp is much clearer than mine, study them and you will find real altenatives.
Not forgetting the whole anti-globalisation and currentl the occupy movements.
Already actively involved in discussing and actively engaging in real alternatives, not just pipe dreams.
    All the best
    regards.
